3 out of 5 stars All the usual Evanovich elements   February 10, 2008

All the usual Evanovich ingredients are here - feisty heroine, wacky family who identify with their ethnic grouping, daft animal who doesn't eat a proper diet, an ex-cop, a transvestite lounge singer - yup, you can tell where the ideas for the Stephanie Plum books came from. However, the Plum books have an extra something that this lacks - it's okay, it trots along at a good pace, there are some nice moments of humour and tension, but overall, it's a weaker effort than other Evanovich books.

3 out of 5 stars Good holiday read   April 7, 2007

This is a great beach read - it's light-hearted, fun and romantic. Good easy reading for when you don't want to think too much! Touches of Stephanie Plum and her mad family & dog. Hint of Jennifer Crusie. Not great literature, but that's OK!
