Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars Gritty and realistic murders set in suburban Britain   June 6, 2008

I can't believe how little known this author seems to be...but now I've discovered her I'll definitely be reading the next books featuring DCI Andrew Fenwick.
This particular story begins with a crime so the reader knows what happened in the past...but not 'whodunit' until a little later. The majority of the book is set in the present and is realistic, well thought out and engaging.
If I had to liken the style of writing to any other author it would be Mark Billingham, not because of any of the ideas but because it's set in England and is a well planned, gripping thriller
