4 out of 5 stars Good, but not his best   March 25, 2008
I have read a few of Peter James's books and loved them all but I have to say that although I did enjoy this one, I found it a bit slow moving and not as gripping as the others I have read.
It's still a good read and I loved the ending, that was a good twist on the last couple of pages, but I do think that he has written other better novels than this one.

3 out of 5 stars So predictable   March 16, 2008

I seem to be the only one that found this book boring and predictable. I only finished it so that I didn't waste my money ! The constant explaining what someone wore and where it came from I found annoying - cut to the chase Mr James. It was so obvious who the villian of the book was I was suprised Kate, as a reporter, didn't work it out straight away

5 out of 5 stars Great Suspense Writing   August 22, 2007

Peter James is the author of several very successful thrillers, two of which have been made into successful TV films. More are in production now. He was born in 1948 and educated at Charterhouse. He lives in Sussex near Lewes.

Sally Donaldson at twenty-three-years old has everything to live for. She has a devoted husband and she is six months pregnant and then suddenly her life is ended. Her husband Kevin is absolutely devastated and is willing to grasp at any straw. When sounds are reported coming from her grave, he demands an exhumation . . .

This one is a real suspense thriller and is one of the best books that I have read by this author.

5 out of 5 stars Actually, he's much, much better than Crichton   January 22, 2007

A cross between Robin Cook and Michael Crichton, this is a supernatural, medical mystery that never let's up for a single chapter. A nasty antagonist, and a terrific heroine, who is so prone to getting into trouble she'd make a great assistant for Dr. Who. The ending will leave you gasping for breathe...
