5 out of 5 stars Brilliant, but what a twisted ending?!   April 4, 2008
I became hooked on these books after picking up 'Faithless' whilst it was on offer in WH Smith. After reading the entire series, I looked forward to 'Skin Privilege'. The book gave a fantastic insight into the life of Lena, as well as bringing Sara & Jeffrey together. The ending was a bit of a shock, though. I just can't wait for the next one! I've read the spoiler page on Karin's website, and it does give some insight, but not enough to suffice.

5 out of 5 stars how to write an ending   March 29, 2008

I was in a state of shock for a week after reading this novel. After reading the others in this series Karin has surpased herself in writing this one. The whole 'Grant County' series is exceptional and I have enjoyed the way that the characters has been developed. If you are new to Karin then I suggest that you start at the beginning of the series. I am now awaiting for the next novel, I really don't know how she will follow this one up.

5 out of 5 stars Oh my God!!!!!   March 25, 2008

I'm truly gutted, had to re-read the ending several times and each time had tears streaming down my face!! karin Slaughter.... how could you? I threw the book across the room once the ending had finally sunk in!
Fantastic read all the way, another gripping-not-to-be-put-down read, karin Slaughter does it again.... but did she have to be SO cruel???!!!
I'd love to read the follow up if there is one, just don't think I have the heart!!!

5 out of 5 stars Shocking!   February 1, 2008

This was an excellent book, with a truly shocking ending. Karin Slaughter - what were you thinking?

The Grant County series is one of my favourites, and this did not disappoint. Lena Adams' story creates yet more interest - she is a fascinating character. As for the ending - well, I won't give any details, but it completely stunned me! So much so, I had to read the final couple of pages about 5 times for it to sink in. I'm hoping there is a further book to this series, but waiting for it is agony!!

Again the County series had me hooked as the story continues on Lena's life but the ending was so unexpected im truly gutted.
