Please!!! Don't give away the ending!!!!! May 9, 2008 Luckily I only read the other reviews after finishing the book - lots are spoiling the ending, which is dramatic and shocking BECAUSE I didn't know it was coming - PLEASE don't spoil it, most people read a review BEFORE they but a book!
dont waste your time with this book April 5, 2008 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
i read this book in the last week and have to say i was completely annoyed id wasted my time. it was less than an average run of the mill book written from 2 points of view. the ending was atrocious, after getting through the other 400 pages the story was a complete waste of time, they never bring down the ring of criminals their after they just get a couple of guys and let the rest roam free. i would not reccomend this book to anyone but cant bring myself to give it 1 star as there was a decent plot and characters, they were just written poorly.
Stunned February 23, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have really enjoyed all the Grant County Series, but this latest installment was good except for the ending which I found totally shocking and unnecessary. I don't mind twists in the tale, but I am not sure if I want to read any more Grant County's now if they are written! I actually took time out for lunch at work to finish this book - I have to say I was disappointed!!! :-(

Karin Slaughter's latest offering does not disappoint. It has been described as bone chilling. From lawsuits to methamphetamine trafficking to white supremacy groups, with a bit of ske1eton in the closet thrown in for good measure, this one is full of suspense. We join our Grant County cast some six months on from where we left them in Faithless. Sara and Jeffrey are married, hoping to adopt child. Lena's violent boyfriend is in jail. The scene is Reese, Ga, Lena's home town, where her escape from custody after being found at the scene of an explosion leads Sara and Jeffrey become increasingly entangled in a web of nasty happenings. We get to learn a bit more about Lena's past.
superb book January 14, 2008 I thought the book was excellent, great pace and great plotting, I did like the ending, came as a huge surprise to me - can't wait for the next one, shames its gonna be a 2 year wait though.
Her next book is a one off like Triptych, if its half as good as that - its gonna be awesome.
