Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars Excellent, but not worth the cost   May 10, 2008

I bought the soundtrack purely on the strength of track 24 "Blood Theme" which is one of the most beautiful pieces of music imaginable. Dark, fluid and oh so haunting. It's penned by Daniel Licht, and when I discovered he'd composed much of this album, I bought it in a flash. And it's excellent, it really is, but it's also disappointing, and certainly not worth the cost.

Much of the album has a very Latin/Spanish feel - wonderful when you're watching a tv show about Miami; wonderful if you love that sort of music; less awesome if you're slightly indifferent to that genre. It's good music - even an untrained, unappreciative ear can tell that - but none of it reaches the heights or depths of "Blood Sample". Maybe that's to be expected, though.

Daniel Licht has many other tracks on here, and they vary, to be honest. But, it's a joy when the CD clicks, a new piece of music starts and you remember where you heard it on the show.

This is a Summer album, to be heard at a barbecue, or while pottering about in the sun. But if you can find it for under a tenner somewhere, that sounds about right.

5 out of 5 stars Best thing since sliced bread   October 27, 2007

Soundtracks to series can be a bit hit and miss but this one really hits the spot. Fantastic, if you loved the series you'll love the music. Top stuff.
