| Customer Reviews:
a very good album November 10, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
A very good album. I find track 1 , 9 and 10 especially good and I can listen to it everyday when commuting from work without getting bored of it. The instrument that Ustad Sultan Khan plays (sarangi - Indian string instrument) has a very smoothing effect on the music and attempts to play in a fast and modern way just does not do it justice, as some tracks have this. I would say that this album is a 100% proper "east meets west". If the sarangi is meant to be the main focus of the music (hence ustad Sultan Khan name on the cover) then the producers need to appreciate the beauty of this instrument, the way its meant to be played and make the modern background music bring out its sound into the foreground.
overall its very good piece of work and excellent cover design.
