This book covers the main world religions Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, Christianity and Islam, with additional east-asian and Indian religions (sikhism, tao, confucian, shinto). I'm more of a scientific person and was looking for an overview of the world religions, with information about historical background, core values and beliefs, rites, symbolism and found exactly the book I was looking for. If you already know the basics, you might want to find a more in-depth book than this, though (I'm probably the wrong person to ask).

Lots of nice photographs and illustrations that show books, symbols, clothing, items, buildings, people, musical instruments, food and much more of importance.
