5 out of 5 stars A step-by-step guide on how to craft a new life story   June 17, 2008

What stories do you tell yourself about your life? That you must spend every waking hour at the office? That you have no time for exercise? That self-fulfillment is an impossible dream? If this is your internal dialogue, then you should not be surprised if it is also your external reality. Acclaimed performance psychologist Jim Loehr spells out a program that will enable you to discard your old negative stories and develop new positive ones that will make your life better. He shows you how to turn these new stories into your new reality. Plus, he explains why physical energy is crucial in this changeover, and what you must do to stay constantly energized. getAbstract believes that anyone who is stuck in a rut will benefit from reading Loehr's inspirational book and putting his transformational principles to work.

5 out of 5 stars The Next Level   February 3, 2008

After reading Stephen Covey's books, which were fantastic, I still wanted something MORE on discovering my purpose. This book has not only answered that well, but has also given me a deeper challenge. I think this book poses a challenge to every reader actually. This book will not satisfy its purpose if you merely read it and leave it on a shelf to gather dust. Without actually applying the lessons within this book you will get nowhere, so as a warning and qualifier I would say that you have to be ready to put in all the effort that you can before reading. Besides that, the effort would be a pleasure, that is if you are serious about the rewards to come. Your purpose, your story, is the most important part of your life to get handled. It is the base, foundation and root for your personal life, business, and relationships. Get this handled. Don't let yourself down. I would say that this book would play a large part in your life if you are feeling lost and without meaning. I hope this helps.
