Good theory - but where's the practice? June 24, 2008 The book's all theory - you need one of his $2,950 courses to make it work, or get a book on it, as he tells you to do on page 77. So what's the point of buying this book? The first 67 pages are his definitions and his hugely time wasting theory. There's loads of repetiton.
The book lacks `canned material' - whole examples of everything you might say and do from start to finish. If there was just one chapter on it, the book would justify itself. But that would be the only chapter you would need to learn, and its missing.
I've finished it, re-read it and summarised the useful bits: I only got one and three quarter pages of useful info. It has not equipped me to even begin the first "opener."
Mixed feelings about this v.practical book - maybe a starting point. May 12, 2008 'Mystery' says that to use these tips u have to go out four times a week - evenings.for 4 hrs a piece and approach 12 women per night.erm - don't really have the inclination to be that desperate and am too lazy to be honest.the book has some good ideas but it all makes u a bit cynical really, informing u of 20 million ways to lie to get women into bed.it all seems a bit sad.there are some good tips n info but it's average. 'The rules of the game may be more practical' and 'The game'is a much more enjoyable read. 'Mystery' isnt exactly ugly as sin either which makes u a bit cyncical.ho hum.nevermind.
Nothing to fear May 6, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Me being a woman, I wanted to see what methods you men use topick us up. I must admit, after reading this I had nothing to fear about some secret method I never knew about, I am safe, so youmen can read on and live in hope.
The truth about his book January 20, 2008 9 out of 11 found this review helpful
Well if your skimming over these books and you are wondering which out of the millions to buy. I would say firstly Neil strauss - the game. The game is told in story form but you do learn some things as you read it definately new perpectives on the whole women situation. The reason i would say buy the game first is because it really wets your appetitie for the subject to learn more.I would say that the mystery method book, (which is breifly mentioned in the game), makes brilliant reading after reading the game as you already know the basic prinsciples. The mystery method is well worth the money on its own but it is not a story as the game is, it is purely examples, theory and suggestions. 10 out of 10.
is this the way forward ? (i think not) December 25, 2007 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
The primary concepts to the MM involve power, control, manipulation, targeting womens insecurities and knocking chunks out of their self-esteem...i hazard a guess that of real love he knows nothing at all.
