5 out of 5 stars Midnight With the Mystics   July 3, 2008
In Midnights with the Mystic, Cheryl Simone shares her spiritual journey. As a young child, a classmate died which led Cheryl to ask questions about mortality. As a college student she, like many others, tried to expand her mind using LSD. While she had some intriguing experiences, she only saw death in that path. So for years, she looked for the "right" way to reach enlightenment but had little success.

As they say, when you are ready the teacher will show himself. This is what happened with Cheryl. When she finally stopped trying so hard and was willing to be still, she was handed an opportunity to speak to Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev. Much of the book recalls conversations and lessons learned from this very dynamic and wise master.

5 out of 5 stars great book!   July 3, 2008
I thouroughly enjoyed this book. It's really great to have sadhguru answering all the questions us westerners have! And how he makes everything seem so simple.. I will be recommending it to all my friends. Read it.

5 out of 5 stars You've found what you're looking for   July 1, 2008
I have read many many books on spirituality, pseudo spirituality, new ageist tomes and the like and,
although I have been inspired over the years,I have never, until now, read a book that breaks life
and it's many mysteries into such an easily accessible and logical way.
Don't get me wrong, this is no abc of life and spirituality.
The wisdom contained in its pages may take a while to sink in but at no time do you feel that
it is beyond comprehension.
Cheryl Simone takes us on a very exclusive, intimate and internally expansive journey with a being who is,(without doubt after reading this book)in my mind,a realised master.
Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev gives us a glimpse into the fabric of our lives and the universe we live in.
This incredible book may be your first introduction to this Mystical being but I assure you, after reading it,
you will no doubt have a thirst to spend more time reading, learning about or even getting to meet this fascinating
being.
He gives you the truth in all it's glory and you'd be hard pressed not to be inspired, touched and transformed by this
incredible gift.
The book is structured in such a way that puts you in the place of Cheryl Simone and you somehow feel that he is talking directly to you.
I don't think I have ever experienced that to such an extent before.
This is one of those books that you will be passing round to all your friends.
You cannot help but share such a jewel as this.
If you are a seeker then seek no more, for the truth is not 'out there' it's right here.
Do not hesitate.
Buy this book.

5 out of 5 stars BRILLIANT BOOK...   June 16, 2008
This book was an easy and enlightening read. It is a great introduction to how amazing Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev clearly is. Cheryl's real and down to earth story combined with Sadhguru's insights, wisdom and timeless knowledge mean that you cannot put it down until it's finished and when it's finished you are left wanting more !!

A definite must for any seeker or person interested in true and lasting well being.

5 out of 5 stars Midnights with the Mystic   May 22, 2008
Book is brilliant. Once you get past the first 100 pages which is about the ups and down of Simoni's life you get to the Mystic, that when my mind went quite. I want more......
