| Customer Reviews:
The Redcatchers in a tough year July 20, 2007 I've been very interested in the 199th Light Infantry Brigade since reading 'The Only War We Had' by Michael Lee Lanning about 15 years ago. Sadly books about the 'Redcatchers' are hard to come by so Warriors is a welcome addition to my collection. The author, Robert Tonsetic, is a man I've come across while reading other books about Tet 68 so I was keen to read more about his time in Vietnam.
Warriors is a well written book. It's edgy without being overly dramatic. In fact if anything the writing is not quite dramatic enough. The reader gets an excellent account of events but the narrative is quite cool and lacks punch but Robert is a combat officer and as such I can forgive his calm chronological style. The details of operations like Wilderness and Valley Forge really do fill a gap in available resources and I look forward to reading his new book, 'Days of Valor'
