5 out of 5 stars GRAPHIC!   April 29, 2007

Congratulations to Lynette for managing to turn her life around from such a living hell. Look at how that German girl who was held as a sex slave for years and years, and what Lynette went through was no different. Lynette was systematically abused, first by her father and then by her step-father who went on to commit suicide before he could be convicted, the same man allowed others to use her as they wished!

This is a very shocking and graphic account of what happened during that time, and might not be for the faint hearted to read, as it will make you cry. I also want to congratulate Stephen Richards as he is also credited, he has handled the subject matter very tastefully, and still in a hard hitting way.

5 out of 5 stars hard hitting story   April 28, 2007

What do you do when as a child you are drawn into a world of pain and sexual abuse. This little girl was abused from pillar to post and back again! The saving grace of one of her abusers was that he hung himself, and her first abuser was only given four years behind bars. Then there was the sex ring, what a lot. I really liked the two chapters included about national and international child sex rings, it really opened my eyes about what goes on, and right under the noses of authority. A great book with a lot of shed tears during the course of reading it.

5 out of 5 stars tear jerking   April 27, 2007

I cried and cried and cried! What torment to go through what Lynette did and then to be drawn into a child sex ring, and then being abused by those adults she looked up to for kindness. The story is heart break after heart break! Some of the descriptions of the assaults are quite graphic and shocking! How this woman can still remain sane after what she went through as a child beggers belief! I have just reviewed Hailey's Story, which I read before this book a few weeks ago, and I thought that story was shocking, but this is beyond words. How low can perverts stoop! The good side of the story was how Lynette has married and given birth to a girl, I am sure she will watch her like a hawk. Good luck, Lynette.
