Both musical and cinematic masterpeice! What more can I say? It is what Neil is all about. Neil opens his soul for everyone who is prepared, ready and able to transact with him on this emotional level. Life changing expeience!

This is the rhird and easily the best Neil Young concert D.V.D. I have bought. The audio-visual quality is superb, as are the performances. I loved all the tracks, except for 'Prairie Wind,' which I found boring and repetitive. The balance between the new songs and his golden oldies is spot on and I would reccomend it to all Neil Young fans.

5 out of 5 stars Stunning   March 7, 2008

A joy just to sit back, watch & listen. The songs from his Prairie Wind CD seem to be his reflections on life, death & friendship from the viewpoint of someone who has lived a full & varied life while the more familiar songs are sung beautifully & given a new lease of life. The fragility of his voice on some tracks seems to enhance rather than detract from the music. The quality of the sets, together with the impressive number of musicians and friends that accompany Mr Young make this an superb concert indeed.

I received this as an early Christmas present. Great live accoustic concert and with all the extras the best six pounds spent on me for a long time. A must for all Neil Young fans.

3 out of 5 stars Pegi,Lou and Neil came too!   December 15, 2007
This is one of those rarities,a neil young recording that doesn't immediately hit the mark.
This is a seperate, stand alone DVD unlike anything he has issued lately(his last few cd's have included Dvd Limited editions with them) and although this was a cinema relase,it does seem rather pointless as it covers ground that is already released, however with the inclusion of his wife Pegi, and country music icon Emmylou Harris all is not lost the concert recording is crisp and clear but the whole affair has a "run of the mill" feel to it that just doesn't do Young any Favours.
The band interviews offer some information as to the point of the concert which takes place in Nashville, but as to why it was filmed is a mystery.
The mention of the death of his father is very moving and it seems that he still has a longing for those days when he used to shoot food on the wide open prairies of his native Canada, and tellingly it is the old songs that shine through. .
