As the name suggests, this is an ideal book for on the road. Full of stories and poems that will make you stop and think. A great introduction to Rollins' work.

the writing of henry at his brightest and yet darkest times. hard bitter poetry with funny short stories make this a book that will make you take a long hard look at your own life, trials and tribulations that we have all suffered yet repress and hide behind our soul windows. simply put some of the best real life writing around. thank you henry!

5 out of 5 stars Rollin's writing is not for the faint-hearted. Enjoy   October 6, 2000

This comprehensive and reassuringly weighty tome provides Rollins fans with another generous helping of the man's strongest stories, poetry, anecdotes and reflections on touring, relationships and life in general. For any Rollins novice out there this is an ideal introduction to the poet/warrior's venom-spitting, gut-ripping, heart-wrenching style of cathartic literature. Buy it. Read it. Pause. Think. Read it again. And then pass it on to someone you love and someone you hate. Word-magic.
