excellent book February 29, 2008
I have been using this book for some years, I find it useful for all the recipes that are dairy free, I love baking muffins with the kids, they are so easy to do, and the banana,oat,raisin loaf is yummy!

If like me, when looking for inspiration to cook you need mouthwatering colour pitures/photos to tempt you then this is probably not the book for you. It is a basic black and white compact book with the odd colour photograph.

However saying that, this is just like all other books in the classic 1000 series and has some fantastic recipes and a great selection of classic, modern and new desserts/pudding recipes.

A bargain price for the selection of recipes even if a little imagination has to be used!

A good variety of cakes, including slices, cookies, no bake.

the downside for me is I like pics to entice me and to let me have an idea what the end product should be and it doesnt have many.

Will use it quite a bit though

Delicious recipes which get right back to basics as well as more adventurous ingredients. Have made several recipes all with great results. For homebaking, all you would ever need. Worth it for the chocolate chip muffin recipe alone!!!

I have previously bought many cookery books, however, this has got to be one of the best. It contains 1000 recipes and each one is explained in detail. The only negative thing I can say is that there aren't any pictures!
