Enjoyed the set immensely. These two ladies were actually responsible for my interest in cookery from the moment I saw them on TV, what and how they cooked was exactly how I've always imagined things should be in the kitchen, and I was so relieved to see that it is actually ok to use butter, full cream, lard, game when other chefs were treading ever so carefully pandreing to the PC idea of cooking.Love it!

I dropped an e-mail message to Acorn Media, the company that released, "Two Fat Ladies - Complete Tribute [1996]," and asked if there were plans to release it in Region 1 format for marketing in the States. A quick response was received: Yes!

The 4 DVD set will be available directly from the company's catalogue early to mid-June 2008. On July 29, 2008 it will be available at Amazon (and in stores).

So, if anyone else in N. America wants this collection, it will be available in a few months. I'm going to wait, even though I have a universal DVD player.

FWIW, I checked and it is not available for pre-order yet at Amazon's U.S. site.

Jennifer Paterson And Clarissa Dickson Wright star in this Set of 4 DVD'S of their entire cooking series 'Two Fat Ladies'.Politically incorrect (HOORAY)!! Jennifer and Clarissa take us into a world of fat on ham,bread spread with a lovely covering of butter,cooking with fresh fish straight from a fishing boat,chocolate pudding and anything else to eat that is now considered to be bad for you.Non conformists and Anti Vegetarians not only do Jennifer And Clarissa cook some lovely food but the Episodes are full of stories of their younger days (and Jennifer bursting into song).and at the same time mixing the food round in a mixing bowl with her hands and lovely red painted nails!! Many Great moments including when Clarissa tells Jennifer ''Donkey's are awfully randy creatures'',Jennifer tells her firmly but nicely ''oh they're sweet... they played a great part in the bible not to be mocked... think what happened on palm Sunday'' and Jennifer tells us all that Clarissa sat on her raspberry's and squashed them.! Jennifer and Clarissa relax at the end of each episode and talk about the lovely people they met and places they visited. (Jennifer relaxing, smoking her cigarette)!,If you love living in a politically correct England. this DVD is Definately NOT for you.Jennifer And Clarissa are in a long line of our lovely British Eccentrics,true to themselves (and others)! and full of plain common sense!.

I have never really wanted to cook any of the recipes that jennifer and Clarissa have prepared over the years.....but I love them because they are so entertaining! What a great idea to bring these two larger than life ladies together!! The DVD collection is a perfect tribute to the late Jennifer Paterson, which does include a wonderful tribute programme as a DVD bonus. Also look out for the photo gallery. Marvellous!!!

I've long awaited this dvd set, and my patience has been more than rewarded. The 2 fat ladies with their adventurous, inimitable and superb cookery, are as delightful and humourous as my memory fondly remembered. Add to this the fabulous locations in which they create their "Receipts", and this set is a complete winner! The tribute to Jennifer Paterson is also very interesting and moving. Not recommended for vegetarians!
