5 out of 5 stars Will not regret   July 23, 2008
Very very good read. Shows what the Media never broadcasts. if you liked this you will like "Barefoot Soldier" by Pvt. Johnson Beharry VC. That is also very good Barefoot Soldier

5 out of 5 stars A Must Read   June 18, 2008
I read this book in a day. I read a lot of books and i have to say while maybe this isnt the best, its certainly my favourite. Perfectly written, it really is set out as though a novel but everything in it actually happened and there is some truly unbelievable stuff that happened. It really gives you an insight into a soldiers life and what happened in iraq because a lot of it never really gets on tv. I literally cannot recommend this book highly enough. the one major issue i had, was invisaging the city. even though there are pictures (awesome and very helpful pictures that give you a great idea of what was happening) i think the map could have done with a key, and should have explained where the oms building was and which was the yugoslav bridge, but it really is not a major issue as you can more or less imagine it. BUY IT i urge you.

5 out of 5 stars fantastic book   May 28, 2008
i recieved this book today.

what can i say, fantastic,i read this book already and have started to read it again,
gripping stuff not dramatised, the story is told as they say it.

all i can say is when is the movie coming.

4 out of 5 stars gripping and sad   May 28, 2008
yes it tells a true story of bravery and it makes me angry that our government sent such fine brave lads to fight in an illegal war and without giving our soldiers enough of the right protective equipment or vehicles. my close friend came back with one leg gone and has now joined the war veterans for peace.
