5 out of 5 stars Superb introduction to iridology with suggested treatments   November 25, 2004

I am fascinated with what the eyes can tell you about the state of the whole body. This book is beautifully written - the information is clear, precise, and presented in digestible chunks. No ploughing through of long explanations and details is required as the author has managed to keep the book concise, yet jam-packed with information. The pictures are fanstastic - the demarkations, textures and pigmentation of the iris are easily recognisable as the pictures are of very high quality. The author illustrates clearly what you are looking at in the iris with pictures and location maps, thus allowing you to make the link with the condition of the body.

Also, the book examines the textures of irides (plural of iris) and tells you the general constitution of the person associated with it.

I am learning so much from this book. I think that it is an invaluable aid to the beginner and will offer plenty to the expert. What I also like about this book is that the author explains what is going in the body and suggests ways to treat this from a naturopathic viewpoint.

At the back of the book, there is a section dealing with detoxifciation: bowel cleanses, dry skin brushing, kidney and liver flushes, hydrotherapy, etc. that is packed full of information. Also, there are sections on deep breathing, stretching, visualisation, etc. So, not only are you equipped to start understanding what is going in the body, but you can also start taking steps to treat these conditions.

All in all, an empowering, clear, beautifully illustrated book. I would highly recommend this book to everybody.
