Funny AND useful! May 12, 2006 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
In this book, Christopher Hart reveals his kiddy side as he shows us how to draw cutesy Japanese Chibis and nifty Furrys, mostly Cat Girls! The sketching directions are simple and easy to follow, and it shows in great details the major differences between Manga and Chibi characters. The book is pretty much divided into two sections, one for Chibi, the other for Furry. Each section has LOADS of colour pictures depicting expressions, poses, scenarios and even how to merge Chibi characters into mainstream Manga! The Furry section is less diverse, but nevertheless useful. Drawing catgirls is explained easily, and with great gusto by the artist. It's impossible not to like this book, and is worth buying for the hilarious pictures inside. Ever seen a Chibi Ditsy Girl with pigtails down to her feet?? You will!
