A ride through berryland you'll want to take time after time August 31, 1999

The best children's book out there. Wonderful ryhming text presented with colorful, fanciful illustrations. A story you will want to share at any age. We started with the board book and have moved onto the hardcover as my son has aged. A treat everytime we open the cover.

I have a 4-year-old daughter and a 2-year-old son. This book has been the favorite of both. They began to choose it as very small children, and then they began to "read" it along with me, word for word! (And some of the words are quite challenging.) I believe it has helped them with language development, and I know it has contributed to their love of reading. If you're only going to buy one book for your toddler, make it this one.

This was my most favorite book when I was little :). I'm 17 now, but I bet my mom still knows all the words to it. I was reading some recipe that wanted tomatillos when I read a footnote that said they are also known as JAMBERRIES! I had the weirdest deja vu flash of the picture of the train with the blackberries and the berry fireworks at the end. So I checked amazon just to make sure that I wasn't imagining things. I got a new copy, and eventually found my old one in my grandma's attic. If you've got a little kid, you MUST get them this book... :)
My son's favorite! July 9, 1999
My son received this book at his birth and four years later he still finds it entertaining. He loves the adventures of the little boy and bear. The pictures are delightful and the verse is catchy.
The best going to bed book yet! July 14, 1998
Bruce Degen has given life to a past time that I shared with my father, and my son with his grandfather. Summer days of picking berries, comes to life with this wonderful tale about a boy and his bear, life friend.It will be a classic one day. May you enjoy with your children and grandchildren.
