1 out of 5 stars How to be cool.....or not   June 12, 2008

Not sure why this book is so well accepted, i bought it on the strenghth of the other reviews and was sorely dissapointed. For a start the humour is decidedly not good, simplistic and unoriginal. I can only assume that the title 'How to be cool' is ironic, following extracts like:

...'cool tatoos tend to be things like: celtic patterns peace symbols and chinese dragons'

Is that right!

For me this book is reminisant of an embarasing parent who thinks they know how to be 'cool'
NOT recommended.

5 out of 5 stars Simply Cool   November 15, 2007

Will Smith, is just one of the best British Comedians to come along in recent years. He does nt orely on puerile comedy but instead uses pure witicim, itellect and great delivery to get his humour across. A case of never mind the bollocks... and this book is just the best. It had me splitting my sides, and caused a lot of raised eyebrows on my recent flight to Mexico City as I read it. Its just simply "cool" but its amazing how funny the simplicity of it is. Will just points out for once and for all everything that we know we should do, but as soon as we have to apply it, we thorw the rule book out and do what we think is cool instead. This book shoudl be compulsory reading for social troglodytes, numpties and general pillocks.
I loved it.
I recommend it.
A terrifically funny book, by a great comedian

There aren't many books that make me laugh out loud; this is one of the few. Excellent for dipping brightening a dull day!

Very funny book about ways you can be cool and catastrophic ways you can't. With some great advice ('Never be first on at a dance or an orgy') and hilarious multiple choice quizzes at the end of each chapter. Laugh-out-loud funny, I might have to get it as a Christmas present for a few of my friends who could probably use the help!
