This little-known classic perfectly marries astonishingly rhythmical verse with brooding, dense illustration. A perfectly-produced book, one I fetish, less exciting than nerve-wracking; I for one am glad I wasn't at this party. But I love reading about it. "To read it once is to have large chunks of it permanently lodged in your brain"
