5 out of 5 stars Don't miss out on a bargin book of one belly laugh after another.   November 15, 2007

I don't think I could ever laugh so much and so often at another book as this! Thats the only thing wrong with it, well, apart from there's not enough pages - I'd like the readers letters to have gone on forever and ever!

My family, young & old have creased there sides at some of these letters, and when they do you just have to know which of the readers letters they are laughing about, and that starts you laughing (again) and oh listen... you will not be dissapointed with this book.

Its a fantastic light-hearted read. Buy it. It's TOP NOTCH!!!

5 out of 5 stars The funniest book of all time   August 4, 2007

It's great to give this book to someone who's never read Viz, as it never fails to send them into laughing fits. I honestly have never seen people laugh as hard and for as long, tears streaming down their face, choking etc.

I remember my pensioner Dad laughing so much whilst reading this one, he couldn't finish it. "What you don't know can't hurt you, or so we are told. Well last week I didn't know a wasp had crawled into my slipper, and it hurt me a great deal. Once again the so-called experts get it wrong."

The funniest ones are probably unprintable here but there's plenty like "These so-called disposable cameras are a farce! Now I have absolutely no record of a perfectly lovely holiday."

I honestly can't recommend this book highly enough.

5 out of 5 stars Absolutely hilarious   September 17, 2005

I'm not an avid reader of the Viz comic, so this choice of book didn't appeal to me at first. But, I got it for a Christmas present and was pleasantly surprised. The minature-sized book contains letters sent in by Viz readers, mostly being general observations on life and news of the times. The adult humour is borderline sick, which, if you're not easily offended, is spot-on, really. Then there are the other types of joking observations, such as:

"These so-called speed humps are a joke. If anything they slow you down." - Tim Wakefield, Surrey.

If, like me, you enjoy this particular style of comedy, this book is definately for you. I can pick it up and just read any of the letters, and then tell one of my mates and have them giggling. Buy it, seriously. After all, Letterbocks is "the page that's got socks for Christmas and is trying to smile convincingly at its mum."
