1 out of 5 stars Didn't Do Me Any Favours   May 31, 2008

I had high hopes for this book, The book itself isn't that long, a couple or 3 hours will finish it, Its full of visualisation exercises and a bit of psychology. The CD is about 30 mins long, I listened to it for 2 weeks and it was painful. I found myself getting bored each time about 10 mins in. He tells you to count down from 300, but when you reach 0 thats is, now what do I do??

Didn't work for me at all but may work for you

5 out of 5 stars works for me too   May 18, 2008
it's funny how similar we all are. Like most of the previous reviewers I just gave the book a fast look and went straight to the cd. It's been a godsend, i have still gained weight, but who cares, have not had a smoke since I started listening to Paul.. about 6 weeks. Must admit I HAVE wanted to smoke, usually because I've forgotten to listen that day...At such times I force myself to stop gnashing and listen again to the CD to get my head straight. It provides complete relief, and a real sense that I can indeed accomplish this. Spend the money and take the time to listen at least once a day. You'll be glad you did. L>

5 out of 5 stars I've done it   May 10, 2008

I was sceptical when I bought this book and was only half-hearted in my desire to give up. I listened to the CD for three days in a row before I finally quit. I had been smoking for over 35 years and have not had a cigarette for almost ten weeks. It wasn't a miracle cure but listening to the CD gave the the motivation to want to give up. You have to quit smoking for yourself, by yourself but this certainly helped me.

5 out of 5 stars Well well. It worked.   April 2, 2008
Okay, it's only been 5 days without a smoke but that's 4 days longer than every other time I have tried to quit. Like a previous reviewer I didn't bother with the book, just used the audio CD.

5 days without a cigarette and no urge to start smoking again. Great product,a great investment (it's saved me 35 already) and I feel much healthier.

I've never been a fan of Paul McKenna but this product has made me change my mind. Thanks Paul!

1 out of 5 stars didn't like it ... get the Nicotine Trick Instead   March 25, 2008
Didn't like the book or cd.... found Paul McKenna's tone and voice a bit irritating and patronising.... especially when he said if it doesn't work it's not his fault it's because I didn't follow his advice, well i'm sorry but rubbing my fingers together when i want a fag didn't make me not want to have a fag.
On the other hand .... 'The Nicotine Trick' works a treat, and has helped me stop!!
