Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars The Real Lucifer   July 26, 2008
So I've just finished reading this book and I'm absolutely ecstatic to have read it. I became interested in the origins of Lucifer and Christo-Pagan concepts when reading some of Micheal Howard's other articles where he mentioned the Pagan roots of myths like the Flood and the Garden of Eden.

If you're looking for a book on Lucifer and his associations in Traditional Witchcraft and other occult groups then 'The Book of Fallen Angels' is just the work for you! The book is 190 pages long and includes a fairly extensive bibliography at the end of the book, as well as an appendix with invocations to the Lord Lumiel.

The contents of the book is as follows: 'From Apes to Angels', 'The Tree of Gnosis', 'The Fallen Ones', 'The Myths of the Great Flood', 'Lady of the Evening Star', 'Avatars of Light', 'The Children of Cain' and 'The Teaching Angels'. Every chapter is dense with information and expounds the history and links regarding Lucifer and other Fall Angels throughout history, and examines Lucifer's role as a Witch-God, Light bearer and an enlightener of man. Howard also examines the various consorts of Lucifer known mainly as Hecate, Lilith and Diana among others.

Overall the book is interesting, enlightening, inspiring, and despite its length, extremely thick with information and connections wading through examination of rich imagery and myth of a misunderstood and much maligned being. I thoroughly recommend this book to anyone and everyone, as it most definitely exists as an accessible and demystifying look at Lucifer in his various aspects throughout various cultural histories and mythologies.

'The Book of Fallen Angels' expands on the information in 'The Pillars of Tubal Cain' by Micheal Howard and Nigel Jackson, so Pillars is recommened as further reading after this one or reading prior to this one.
