5 out of 5 stars The facts about the JW religion   February 14, 2008
Any religion should be willing to be scrutinised. The Jehovah's Witnesses always have a lot to say about other religions, most especially the world's Christian faith systems.

Now we have the opportunity to consider the other side of the coin - the things that Jehovahs Witnesses don't know about their own faith.

If you are a JW and you are wondering whether to buy this book, remember that if the JWs have the truth it will stand up to any scrutiny. If you buy this book, your view will definately change and if you choose to continue with the JW faith, at least you'll be doing so from a standpoint of being educated about your own religion.

This book blew wide open my own deeply entrenched beliefs i had in the Watchtower society.

And it felt like a merciful release.

Though a very difficult step considering the societies banning opposing literature,It is an essential one for any practising Jehovah's Witness to know the truth about their own religion.

But, only if you have an "open" mind.

The most important book ever published on the JWs and the only one that exposes the inner working of a cult that has more in harmony with Orwell's 1984 than Christianity. Ray worked for most of his life in the movement and rose to be one of a select few that sat on the secretive Governing Body of the cult. He reveals all in this book. Doing so in a gentle spirit far removed from the manner of those who tried to silence him

Neither I nor many of Jehovah's people had any idea. Many of us have known that something was not right in Jehovah's organisation, but were discouraged from asking. Jehovah deserves the very best standards and when something is wrong, it must be put right.

I BEG the readers not to infer that the faults are Jehovahs - they are not. I also beg you all to pray that his organisation can be cleansed and the ones who are doing this wrong will turn back from the disgraceful way.

Witnesses - do not be afraid of asking questions, or from reading this book which is neither bitter nor twisted. Jehovah doesn't want us to be terrified anymore.

The author gives a good historical background of the early organisation and with it along with the Proclaimer book (published by the Watchtower) one can have a complete picture of what was happening at the inception of the organisation. Some of the facts, unfortunately have been missed when the Proclaimer book was compiled.
The book, therefore, might be of interest to any J W, who like me, likes to know the history of the organisation with all the details.

The final part of the book deals with the disfellowship procedures of the author and some others from the organisation. The account of it is moving and it strengthened my faith in Jehovah more. If all details recounted are true, it certainly shows even more that the organisation makes mistake and some leading members of it will certainly receive an heavier judgement from God at Harmageddon.
