3 out of 5 stars Not bad...   July 11, 2008

This is the first Lauren Weisberger book I've read, I've not read or seen the film of The Devil Wears Prada so can't compare them (some people might say that's a good thing). I didn't think it was bad, I definately wouldn't say it's 1 star, although I do think (as has already been mentioned) some of the outcomes were a bit predictable, but I liked the characters.

1 out of 5 stars disappointing   July 10, 2008

Really enjoyed the Devil Wears Prada and bought this for a long journey. Felt it was trying to be like Sex and the City but I did not like these women and could not care what happened to them. Just an excuse for dropping a lot of brand names and showing off a wealthy lifestyle. Can an intelligent woman really have a noisy upstairs neighbour and not try to resolve the problem in some way? I only finished it because I had nothing else available to read.

3 out of 5 stars A bit slow   July 9, 2008

Is it just me or did anyone else get the feeling that this book was written almost as a script for a film? It isn't by any stretch of the imagination the worst chick lit I've ever read - in fact it was funny and I did like the characters... However there was a little too much '...she thought as she flicked her hair and wondered why it had taken him so long to realise blah blah blah'. But it's not a patch on DWP or indeed Everyone Worth Knowing.

4 out of 5 stars Chasing Harry Winston   July 1, 2008

Everyone likes to dream from time to time and every young woman wants to have fun. We all have been there, when we dreamed about having any man we fancied, having fun with our girlfriends or just dreaming of that perfectly shaped diamond ring.Chasing Harry Winston was just like that, it offered what every woman needs on those mellow days, when we are feeling down.It was an enjoyable read and I am looking forward to read Everyone worth knowing.
