1 out of 5 stars Beware a very misguided book   May 24, 2008

The book of Enoch itself is truly a Deuterocanonical book, firstly because it's true authorship is not certain. So as I'm sure early Church Fathers Augustine and Thomas Aquinas would agree, I would recommend caution when reading the book of Enoch. As for this book about Enoch, it is heresy! The lady who wrote this book suggests we pray to angels, and pray to Lord Michael? Obviously this is not Biblical. Furthermore, she talks about visualizing spheres of energy and angels, and other such New Age things. I'm sure any Born Again Christian will see that this book contains heretical teaching about angels and is not to be trusted. I looked up the author on a reference website, and quickly found her to be a believer in an heretical mix of Eastern Religions like Buddhism and the true faith of Christianity! This is obviously wrong, any supposed Christian who claims to believe in karma and reincarnation is not walking on the narrow path, but dangerously strolling on the wide path. Do not buy this heretical book, read the New American Standard Translation of the Bible instead or try studying New Testament Greek if you want a deeper insight into God's Holy Word.

5 out of 5 stars Good exploration   May 22, 2007

I read this book and thoroughly appreciate the work she did researching the material. Why would the book of Enoch would be good enough for Jesus and the disciples, but later some power hungry people called "Early church fathers" who in my opinion were part of the rising Roman church, decided that it is not good enough for them? I think it is an attempt to cover up truths that we are suppose to know. The church and the world went into the Dark Ages because church leaders decided to hide the truth from the masses. What is good enough for Jesus is good enough for me. Thank you Elizabeth!
Bless you!

1 out of 5 stars Disappointing   September 2, 2004

As the other reviewer says, there are in the market just a few books about the subject of the watchers, unfortunally this book does makes not favour to an subject has this, presenting to the reader a bias christian point of view of a subject that should be considered under a more factual point of view and not the particular beliefs collected from the weekly sermon as the writer does. You will be MUCH better off buying "From the Ashes of Angels" from Andrew Collins.

4 out of 5 stars A facinating look at early Angeology   December 10, 2000

The book of Enoch is one of the earliest records of angels and the Nephalim. This book is a rare find, as the number and quality of books published on this subject are a very small amount. Taken from a historical basis this book provides evidence to back up its claims that the story of the Nephalim has been kept hidden by the leaders of the Church. Overall this is a scholarly and very well researched text that should appeal to the casual angel fan as well as the serious student.
