Brilliant new football book August 7, 2008

I often have misgivings about this sort of book - perhaps due to the stacks of lacklustre yearbooks out there, perhaps because the word "official" can sometimes just mean "dull and with all the juicy stuff taken out". That said, this book is a far cry from all that. It's a hefty thing and feels like really good quality - well worth the 20 tag (or 12.99 when I bought it here). It looks great too (none of that dull black and white tedium of the Rothmans/Sky book) with colour photos all through it and stats displayed imaginatively rather than the usual dross. It's like someone's actually thought what a real fan might want to have in this sort of book. And then made it. Definitely recommended reading.
