A detailed critique of this book would be a waste of words. It is excellent throughout. The exercises cover all aspects of the DS course and the book is complete within itself, all you need is a plotter and a pair of dividers.

I was surprised and initially disappointed that it didn't use the new RYA training charts 3 & 4 but on reflection am not. Those progressing to the RYA Day Skipper or Yachtmaster theory will get plenty of practice on those charts and the Stamfords practice chart of the Channel Islands gives an interesting area to do chartwork exercises.
