Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Great revision book for FRCS(Tr.&Orth.)   August 28, 2003

This text is excellent for revision in the 6 months prior to the intercollegiate fellowship exam. It is necessary to have read other fuller texts first but for final cramming and quick reference for memory joggers it can't be beaten.
One word of warning however: there are a number of errors in the text which I found useful prior to the exam. The better I knew the material, the more errors I found!
Despite this, the book is invaluable.

contains just about everything needed for the exams. well updated. some of the legends of the figures and the diagrams need extra labelling.

5 out of 5 stars never met a comprehensive book on orthopaedics like this!   July 3, 1999

After so many years spent studying orthopaedics and leafing thru books of all sorts,it's the first time I come across a book I eventually feel I can tell my young trainees they MUST have a copy of. I am looking forward to see the latest edition. Since I am a translator, I would like to have this book translated into my language so as everyone in Italy interested can have it.

5 out of 5 stars "THEorthopaedic review text"   April 6, 1999
1 out of 1 found this review helpful

I found this book to be a concise review of the main testable areas in orthopedics. It was up to date, comprehensive for a review text, and doesn't get lost in the untestable details we have to listen to on rounds. I think it helped me pass my written boards. This is THE Orthopaedic review test to stay prepared.

4 out of 5 stars A comprehensive summary of most orthopaedic topics.   February 20, 1999

A very good review handbook. However, it is not very suitable for fresh readers who do not have basic knowledge of the concerned topics. Excellent for revision before examination to check if there is any "hollows".
