1 out of 5 stars What a waste of money!   May 15, 2007

How very disappointing. Made itself out to be all mysterious and interesting when in fact it was about an A4 sheet of paper's worth of writing spread over god knows how many pages. What a total waste of money and of a perfectly good tree. You can't even read it a second time because the "novelty" is lost. My advice: don't bother.

Well, bookworm from stalybridge nails it really, take with a pinch of salt.I too bought it because of neil strauss recommendations,if you have any interest in people, and psychology, personally i would spend my money else where.
If you want to read it on the basis thats its something to play with, and see how people react?then fair goes,in psychological terms its a representational tool,a fairly good ice breaker and conversation starter.
And something very light...if you want to use it to chat someone up?you'll probably end looking more of analyst than someone they want leave with...

5 out of 5 stars Know more about yourself and others around you !   March 3, 2007

This is an incredible short trip into knowing yourself and looking at your own personality from the different dimension. It is a great tool to find out more about your mates or family, as it subtly reveals their personality, without them knowing it. A lot of fun! Defenately recommend it.

5 out of 5 stars Interesting and quick readd   February 4, 2007

I read this book based on the Strauss recommendation - his goal being to be more interesting than you actually are to the opposite sex. I am sceptical that it works in that way ( I did try a lot!!). BUT it is fascinating to do the cube thing with your mates et al. Enjoy [do not skip to the end - read the book sequentially]

2 out of 5 stars Not Meant to be Taken Seriously   January 4, 2007

Hopefully. If you are at all interested in the psychology of illusion, being aware of what people are thinking and, especially how to manipulate that for effect; this book will be an OK read to help with insight into people's need to believe. The needier people are, the more easily they are manipulated. If people actually take this seriously then they need to be warned they are amongst the babies that people find it oh so easy to take candy from. Just ask a Psychologist or Illusionist - but quite often they are the same person. However, there are far better books on the market that will assist with human psychology, so perhaps don't buy this one if you are a serious student of human behaviour or interested in learning about illusion techniques.

This book has now made it to the recyc bin, as 1) My bookshelves creak worringly 2) It isn't really a good book and 3) Trees died for this? So as with other books I think this of I help it do its bit to save other trees.
