I found it useful and also a good read, as it contains background information as well. One of the most thorough guides I've found, covering employment, pensions, buying a car, health, education, travelling, etc, etc

I am planning a permanent move to France and found the contents of this book extremley helpful. It covers the basics of everything you need to know about living in France from buying a house, medical care, sending your UK benefits overseas and settling your children in school. Also it includes helpful addresses and contacts for further assistance. Would definatley recommend reading it if your planning a move to France.
