4 out of 5 stars "Tell Everyone" about this book!   February 27, 2008

Harlan Coben (Gone for good) delivers a fantastic mystery thriller which focuses upon David Beck, a paediatrician who eight years ago, lost his wife in a mysterious murder case by the family lake. Now, David receives an anonymous e-mail which makes him believe that Elizabeth may still be alive. But as the scenario digs deeper, David finds himself caught in trouble and is soon on the run as the case stars to unravel.

This was the first Harlan Coben book I read and must say it was sensational. Page after page delivered more suspense and mystery to the plot to keep my interest high.

The plot involves many characters, which keep the intensity high, justifying the thriller genre as they all link in creating a tense plot.

Coben's style is very sophisticated, narrowing his attention on the character's personalities and all character's are believable because of the great writing.

Edge of your seat thriller; tell no one delivers an amazing story of love, betrayal and mystery.

A few cliches are thrown in but regardless it is a gripping novel that is definitely worth reading

Dr. David Beck's wife was murdered by a serial killer, and he was beaten and left for dead, on the shores of Lake Charmaine, a place the husband and wife visit, every year, on the anniversary of when they first met.

Eight years later, and Beck is still trying to come to terms with the loss of his wife. He receives a mysterious email, which turns his world upside down once again, as it seems to strongly suggest that his wife is not dead after all.

I found this book an enjoyable read, as Beck discovers one clue, and then another, in the bid to find out what exactly happened to his wife, eight years earlier, on that fateful night. The twists come thick and fast towards the ending, which, I thought could have possible been a bit better.

5 out of 5 stars Perfect to crawl into bed and read all night!   November 5, 2007

Coben manages to do it again. Wonderfully easy read (without being childish), that has a gripping storyline. The book manages to draw you in and doesn't let you put it down.

I highly recommend this read.

Plotting is dense but sometimes you long to say 'Oh come on - just tell a story!' Sorry, not one of my favourite reads despite the intriguing idea. One to pass on to someone else once read.

I would thoroughly recommend this book to anyone. This is the first Coben book I have read, and I have been totally engrossed from start to finish. Coben has the rare gift of a true storyteller to totally immerse you in the action he's describing, making you feverishly turn the pages to learn the fate of the characters.

As the nights draw in and the bad weather beckons, this is an ideal way to brighten up the depressing evenings between now and the annual feeding frenzy known as Xmas.

Either buy it now, or put it on your Sanata List. Enjoy!
