5 out of 5 stars words can't describe....   July 13, 2008
...how AMAZING this book is. I finished this book in a whole night, couldn't even go to bed!

This book really is an achievement and it has started a complete obsession for me. Edward I'm already in love with. Who wouldn't be?! and Bella and Edward's relationship is sizzling. I'm so happy I've been able to read this book. It made me put my life into perspective.

5 stars++++++

5 out of 5 stars Great read, interesting with complex characters   July 12, 2008
like many others i was drawn to this book when i could no longer ignore the hype and as all i had been told about it was that it was to do with vampires i was very pleasently suprised!

although people who like the usual books about vampires (like darren shan...) with gore and blood in it may be dissapointed it offers a refreshing different veiw on vampires and as their history is also revealed in the book it makes what your reading belivable.

if you have been put off by other reviews drooling over edward. dont be. that is not the point of the story, yes it is about edward and bella's characters falling in love but it is not a fan club for edward. they both resist each others attractions and there are problems from all angles, the human troubles like parents, school, hormones etc but also there is the vampire element of fear, danger and lets face it death. the complex characters make it an enthralling read and not only does it tap into your emotions with the romantic element it has aciton and adventure too.

The special abilities of edwards family make it interesting and means the whole book doesnt just revolve around the two characters, the ending of the book leaves you with a lot to think about and wondering what will happen in the following books. there are just enough questions answered to keep you happy but then enough questions left un answered for you to want to read the next book.

the whole book is made really interesting by bella's obvious human flaws but then is a strong enough character in her own right which plays really wwell with edwards vampire characteristics and own flaws (which, if you read the book properly, he does have even though bella doesnt seem them) you can also relate to bella's insecurities in her own looks and personality which is why it is aimed at teenage girls.

i would reccomend it mainly to teenage girls although adults can probably get a lot of enjoyment out of it as well, although i cant really comment as i am 14 but boys may be annoyed at the characters slightly but then again i cant really say. anyone who likes teenage romances with a more complex story should also enjoy it and i think if you like vampire books read it just be prepared for a different take on them!

5 out of 5 stars just amazing...*****   July 6, 2008
i have never felt the urge before to write a review it never appealed to me, so this is my first. But 'twilight' by stephenie meyer, is just a book you can not put down, so much so that i ended up reading it over the period of one night when i had work the next morning (not advisable). The story line is so creative in which the author has let known that it came to her in a dream (corny i know, but thank god it did!) her imagination was able to take one part of the book (it was the part in the field where Edward shows his true self to Bella) which was her dream to create the end and then the begining until everything just pieced together. Truthfully i'm not the kind of girl that has her head in books all the time, in fact since i have left school this is the first book i read, and it has given me a sense of life again. but now i have to wait until the middle of august before i get the other three books to conclude this beautifully directed story, trust me once you read the epilogue you will need (not want) the next three books! Also there is a film made which is coming out 12/12/08 but i'm not sure when in the U.K it is coming out, but i can't wait, i have all ready seen some trailers for it, and it looks as breath taking as the book.

5 out of 5 stars what a sick masochistic lion.............   July 5, 2008
This was an amazing book!! I bought it on a whim after my friend kept telling me "read twilight!!! read twilight". i haven't looked back. Since then every conversation at lunch time has had at least one reference to the tale of bella and edward......... it's unforgettable.....
The character of Bella is so easy to relate to. Then there's Edward........ It is impossible to read this book and say you did not fall in love with this character.
Unfortunately this book leaves very high expectations for New Moon/Eclipse and it is extremely easy to be left feeling disappointed after reading the sequels. Let's hope Breaking Dawn doesn't suck cause I cannot wait for it.

5 out of 5 stars Amazing   July 3, 2008

I know the majority of people reviewing this book have said that it was incredible etc etc but I'm going to say it again because really, it truly is amazing.
I like a good love story as much as the next person but this was something else. Literally, you can't help falling in love with Edward. I'm not even joking when I say he's the perfect guy (aside form the fact that he's a vampire, I guess). If you like a little romance in a book then Twilight is perfect for you.
I've read all the classics like Pride and Prejudice etc and as much as I enjoyed them, after reading them once or twice that's enough for me. Twilight is the complete opposite. This may just be my personal opinion but I recon I could read it again and again and actually not get bored. Judging my everyone elses comments on here I don't think I'm alone in that opinion. New Moon and Eclipse are equally as good and I'm actually counting down the days until Breaking Dawn comes out.

To any one considering buying this book, I say just do it. It is amazingly good (I can't say it enough times) and if you don't enjoy it (you're probably a little crazy) then sell it on the Amazon Market Place. Honestly, this (along with the second and third) is my favourite book EVER!
