4 out of 5 stars Maybe it's the writer's strike, but...   June 27, 2008
season three is missing a certain element that made Seasons 1 and 2 one of the best show ever. There was no mention of Agent Kellerman, a great character of the previous seasons, the company wasn't as bigger part as before, it only took eleven episodes to escape from 'Sona', and above all; the demise of Sarah. However, season three was great and a must-buy anyhow, but with only thirteen episodes this time, it seems to go to fast!

2 out of 5 stars A betrayal of the fans and the great cast   June 21, 2008
I loved Prison Break Season 1 and was thrilled when Season 2 somehow managed to be just as good if not better! Oh no what happened here!?! Season 3 is not even in the same league! - I watched the first 4 episodes and then gave up on it.

A very major character was obviously not signed for this season of the show and is killed off very early on, this in itself was enough to ruin the season for me - the way the person is killed there is no way they can come back yet I've read they do in season 4 - not the kind of sloppy stunt you expect to be pulled in what is supposed to be a quality show is it?

The sets of the inside of the prison are poor and even this supposedly "hellish" Panama prison has a lightweight atmosphere to it with unconvincing actors playing the crims - I know guys down the pub who are more intimidating than these supposed psycopaths. Fox River had more of a real prison feel to it if you ask me.
The plot is largely a rehash of season 1 but nowhere near as good and comes across as contrived just to keep the show going rather than a logical continuance of the story.

Apparently the Hollywood writers strike is to blame - well in my opinion the movie studio is to blame - they make a fortune out of these shows and should have either paid the writers what they wanted or delayed the season until a proper Season of Prison Break could be released. What a waste of a great cast and film crew who I've come to appreciate so much through season 1 and 2.

The only reason I'm giving two stars is it's probably still better entertainment than most other TV shows.

In my opinion this seaason should be boycotted - the studios need to know the fans won't tolerate them sabotaging our fav shows like this just to save themselves a few quid!

1 out of 5 stars Prison Break ... gone to far   June 18, 2008

This show was amazing in its first season, then came the second, the story started to become stretched and sometimes i would ask myself how is this show still on the air, but then PB fans went and done the wrong thing they demanded a 3rd season and now all the goodness of that 1st season has been undone and PB season 3 ruins everything. A 4th season is on the way so i'm sure its only a matter of time until this show eventually gets cancelled. Lets just say its not upto par with the very superior 24, Lost, or even Desperate Housewives. Very poor and only 13 episodes makes it worse. Rent DONT BUY!!!

5 out of 5 stars If you are a die-hard Prison Break fan you will love it!   June 9, 2008

I thought this season was great. After the initial shock of one of the main characters being killed off it settles down to a nail-biting story. Prison Break works best when the characters are in prison. The new characters are very good especially Whistler- lets hope he stays around for Season 4. Michael shows his darker side in this season and you can really see his character developing. I was glued to every minute of it and my only complaint is that due to the writers strike it was too short. Bring on Season 4 I cant wait!

1 out of 5 stars Prison Break is cracking   June 8, 2008

Prison Break Season 3 is essentially the first season all over again, this season was extremly weak made worse by the writiers strike, in a way its a good thing this happened becasue it makes you bored for only 13 episodes and not the usual 22. Be warned bying this, its poor, the special features are weak and the show is liteally falling apart. 24 I recommend.
