If you only buy one book this year let it be this one. I guarantee that you will not be disappointed.

Thoroughly enjoyable read from start to finish. Some strange and interesting facts that were for the most part fascinating. Well worth a read!

4 out of 5 stars How interesting   September 2, 2007

When I first got this book as a birthday present I wasn`t quite as eager to get stuck in to it as I am with most books just because the cover was so stupid. They say you can`t judge a book by its cover, and in this case that saying realy came into play. Each question was quickley and cleanly answered with propper straight-forward explanation. The only downside was that it included a lot of celebraty questions which I did not find appealing, but you however might. Anyway take off the cover because it is just so dumb, but don`t forget to read the book its self!

4 out of 5 stars Factastic!   July 9, 2007

This is heaven to the type of person who likes to spout weird and wonderful facts. That would be me. Many things here that I didn't know. Loses a star because some of this is familiar from the TV programme. There could have been a few more facts, but I suspect that some gems have been held back for a second book to be released Christmas 2007.

5 out of 5 stars Makes a great Birthday present!   June 12, 2007

I bought this for myself but my husband immediately pinched it as soon as I started questioning him on its content! It makes for lively dinner time discussion especially with all the controversial entries like Christopher Columbus wasn't Italian, America wasn't named after Amerigo Vespucci, and the most dangerous African mammal is the hippo! I've given it to several people for their birthdays and they've all loved it. Very easy to pick up and read a bit then put down as divided into brief paragraphs on each entry.
