5 out of 5 stars That's magic!   June 22, 2006

If you want to dazzle your friends down the pub with amazing magic (that they really will think is magic) then this is the book for you!

It gives you step by step instructions of how to do each trick and it reveals some of the deepest secrets of the magic circle and their tricks!

Easy to do tricks. You rarely need any more props than what you can find on your coffee table and everyone can do them!

like some other revieweers i was confused as to why some semed to love it and others didnt rate it at all.i aksed around some magic forums and the view i get is that it is a good book - too good and so some magicians have run it down lol. all i can say is that i took the word of two of the reviewers barrycooper a well know pro and mog who runs a magic online forum. they liked it and i bought and they are right.

5 out of 5 stars If only ALL magic books were written like this   January 31, 2006

I get fed up with most magic books as they are dull and badly written. This is book is different!

It is certainly challenging as it asks you to work hard at what you do to get the results - I see some magic experimenters not liking it as it gives no instant fixes. If they want to turn on a fawcett and get a new effect I suggest they stick to buying cheap tricks from the shops.

If you really want to develop your magic as an art - then this is the book to buy!

1 out of 5 stars Poor   January 20, 2006

I was disappointed with this book. Poorly explained, boring to read and badly illustrated.

Save your money and buy Street Magic by Paul Zenon. Its more of a general magic book but its a great place to start and is clearly illustrated with easy to follow instructions.

Stay away from this! You have been warned.

2 out of 5 stars Far too obvious   January 16, 2006

Having read all of the reviews, perhaps I expected too much from this book.

It is reasonably well laid out and the tricks are fairly stright forward however most of them are so obvious that I wouldn't even think about trying them unless the audience was very drunk and hopefully missing a few marbles.
